These trace fossils are found in extremely preserved layer by the Desert Highway west of phosphate mines in Al Hisa (Al Hisa phosphrite maestrichtian age). Large slabs of hard limestone up to 5 meters in length have been exposed during highway construction, showing burrows 2 to 4 cm in diameter.
